Build Breakdown: Heavy Equipment Show
/With the 2018 Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show set to take place this April at the Moncton Coliseum in Moncton, NB (See full event info here: https://goo.gl/ANkw9X), we wanted to bring something a little more special than the cookie cutter truck. We want to build something that gets the job done and looks good doing it. So, fresh from the factory comes this 2019 Black & Cayenne Red Western Star 4900EX with a Detroit DD15 paired with a Eaton Fuller 18-speed transmission. The truck also features a 68" Ultra Low Bunk, 265" wheelbase and 3.42 ratio. So whats the game plan? Over the next couple weeks, we are going to bring you behind the scenes and take you along during the build process right up to the Heavy Equipment Show.
March 21st, 2018 - Delivery Day
Early bird gets the worm. The truck was delivered first thing this morning. First step P.D.I and a quick wash.
March 23rd, 2018 - P.D.I. & Wash
After having it unloaded, P.D.I.'d & given a fresh wash, we took the old girl out to stretch her legs and took a look at where to start.
The product magazine for these trucks is huge! Our plan is to keep it simple & cosmetic with a bumper, rear fenders, exhaust, visor, lights, and a bit more just to get started. Nothing to crazy but a few things that will make this truck truly stand out.
